Jake and Kelly

Thank you so much for being interested in our family.  We’d like to start by saying that we have the upmost respect for women who place their child with a forever family as part of a loving sacrifice.  It’s an enormous decision to make, and it’s our hope that this letter and our profile book will help guide you as you decide what’s best for your baby.

Our names are Jacob and Kelly, and we have been a couple for 17 years and married for 11 of those years.  We fell in love in high school, dated throughout college, and married soon thereafter.  We love to go to concerts, go out to dinner, and do home remodeling projects together.  Jake works in downtown Indianapolis as a salesman and Kelly is an elementary school teacher.  Our family feels blessed that Kelly gets to take a break from teaching right now to stay home with the children.  It’s such a gift.  Our favorite family activities are vacationing at the lake, family bike rides, and having dance parties in our kitchen.

The biggest joys in our lives come from our children.  When we decided to start a family, our daughter came to us quickly and easily.  She stole our hearts the moment we knew of her, and growing her in my belly increased my appreciation towards the miracle of life.  Anna is a smart, thoughtful, and beautiful seven year old girl.   After wishing and praying for another baby for 6 years, Joseph joined our family through adoption and he was our miracle baby!  Even though he didn’t grow in my belly, the love we felt for him filled our bodies from the moment we first held him.  The greatest moment in our lives was when we told Anna she was a big sister and she met Joseph for the first time.  It was priceless, and we will never forget it.  Now, Joseph is a fun loving and friendly two year old, and he would be an amazing playmate for a new baby.  Our family has so much more love to give, and becoming a family of 5 would be a dream come true!

If we welcomed your baby into our family, we promise to love your baby unconditionally.  We promise that your baby will ALWAYS know the love you had for him or her.  A birth mother’s love never goes away, and your love will always stay with your baby for eternity.  We also promise to blend our family and your family’s heritage together to help create deep roots for your baby.  We promised all these things to Joseph’s birthmother, and we are committed to do the same for you.  Thank you so much for taking the time to meet our family and learn our story.  We will be praying for your peace and comfort as you continue on this journey.
