Bob and Jen

Dear Expectant Family,

Thank you for taking a moment to get to know a bit about our family. We could never begin to understand what you are going through; but we know you are brave, strong and love your child.

Bob&JenWe first met in 2002 and were married in 2003. We have been very happy. However, we struggled with infertility and decided to adopt. In 2014, we were blessed with the adoption of Tytus. We are so humbled to have been chosen as his parents. We have an open adoption with visits and regular updates, with pictures and emails sent to Tytus’s birth family.

We cannot put into words how happy we have been since the arrival of Tytus.

Bob graduated IUPUI in 2006 with a degree in finance, but decided that he was happier working in construction. He started the path to becoming an electrician. Today, Bob is a licensed master electrician with several additional certifications under his belt. He loves that there is always something new to learn in his field. He hopes to one day start his own electrical business, to pass on to his children. Bob is a great Dad. He is very patient and takes the time to teach Tytus how different things work. Bob loves reading, especially about history and science, he’s passed this love on to Tytus.

Jen graduated Anderson University in 2003. She’s been teaching in the inner city since 2004. Teaching is her passion and hobby. She enjoys finding new ways to connect with her students and fun ways for them to learn. She’s very proud of her career and is often seen wearing her school spirit wear out and about. Jen is a wonderful mom. She loves doing crafts and art with Tytus. It never fails that her hands have marker, paint, or play-doh on them. Jen loves reading, especially teen novels, and trading books with her students and nieces.

Tytus is all boy. He loves jumping, climbing, and throwing balls. He loves all types of music, and is an avid dancer who comes up with the best moves. Tytus also loves the water, Tytus (2)whether the lake, pool, or water table, he’ll be splashing away. Tytus will be an awesome big brother. He loves to play with his friends and his cousins.  [To read Tytus’ adoption story, click here.]
